Eleven sounds nicer
Plus it sounds funny if the person says their l's as w's
FYI, the name comes from old anglosaxon. They called it one-one basically but their prounounciation of english is far different than ours. Closer to elvish in Lord of the Rings. It sounded sort of like eve-eln or something like that and eventually became eleven through the years. :)
