You are right about Christianity. They plagiarized the Tanach and then wrote their book to "prove" that Jesus was the messiah. Jews do not need Christianity to explain their existence or their origin, but Christians cannot explain their existence without Judaism.
There are two versions of Judaism -- the Jewish version and the Christian version. Judeo-Christianity is the Christian version.
Rabbis are teaching how the newest finds from Biblical archealogy relate to the Bible. I doubt that Christian scholars are doing the same. I hope I can be proved wrong.

Whatever you believe is fine, there is none better then the other. Personally if you are a good law biding person, show love to each other, help out the needy, you are doing exactly as you should and you do not need a priest, a minister or a rabbi to lead the way. You have all the right answers inside you. So it doesnt matter if you are christian, buddist or study judism...No one is superior and if you think so God is shaking his head at those that do this is not His intent.

Jews use the first five books of the Old Testament, called the Torah, as their Gospel. Judaism is considered a religion - and one of the major ones of the world.

The old testament is a compilation of many centuries of information on how to live life. The new testament is a hundred years of political intrigue and control. There is a big difference.

even although the main glaring solutions are that Judaism does not settle for the divinity of Jesus and Christianity does, and that Christianity accepts the recent testomony as divinely inspired on an identical time as Judaism does not, there are different adjustments to boot. although there are a number of i'm going to in basic terms supply a pair right here. even although Judaism believes in a "Messianic Age" and/or "international to return," the concentration in serving God isn't to earn a place there yet on being holy in this international to deliver glory to God on earth. In Christianity the concentration is on "getting to Heaven" (salvation) with our movements in this international seen as an results of that salvation. yet another distinction, Christianity focuses extra on the guy the place Judaism is extra community proper (i.e. there are particular prayers in Judaism that are in basic terms mentioned interior the presence of a team/community of a minimum of ten adults).

Look, I like Jews. I wouldn't say that they were half a religion because they only ( heavy on the quotes, okay?) "believe" in 'half' of the Bible. They started it after all. we are the ones that added to it.
BUT I think that they make void the word of God by not having their temple built. They've been a nation for years again now, and they still do not have their temple built. They need to build their temple if they are going to be really, religiously, Jewish.

1. There is a difference between the 'scriptiural old testament' and the unscriptural 'old testament'. (Yes, there are two 'old testaments').
2. Judaism and Christianity are closer to each other than many 'U.S.' citizens currently realize.

Not sure if you are trying to be a comedian here or aks a semi intelligent question..
However they do not contradict one another..Christianity is the fullfillment of the Old Testament given to the Jewish People by the Prophets.
