I've heard about the so called "green" tax that will affect the 4x4 heavily.. when it will happen ? is it already ruling ? I want to buy a petrol Land Rover discovery, used, 1999 and I know that the tax only will affect the cars after 2001.. so my car wont be affected ? or because I bought it ( even it was made in 1999 ) in 2007, as used, will be taxed on the new law ? I've read that the new tax ( Band G ) will only apply to new cars , 2001 onwards . Im just confused as hell :) thank you !

4X4 drivers are already taxed at a extra appropriate fee by using the better gasoline they use. the belief of attempting to 0 in on one form of vehicle is absurd. additionally purely by way of fact the motor vehicle is 4WD would not recommend that's putting out extra emissions. The worst NOX emissions offenders are diesels and that they pay extra in keeping with gallon in taxes than all and sundry else.
