I have never heard of a water pump costing that much money, try a differnt auto parts store. here in the U.S. the most I ever paid was like $45 for one

My own experience is New parts come with a warranty. Used parts usually do not. Who to say the used pump is any good?? Electrical componants sitting around in a wrecking yard don't age like fine wine. I would not trust a used part. I would shop the net for the best price for a new one.
