Yes they have attitude and every other cat has one too.Cats are unique in there outlook on human animals. They like not having to go out and work for a living, but they want it comfortable also...They have" suck up " down to a art....But they sing pretty and convince us that they like us a little--enough for us to give them the good life anyway. My 3 know the dance and they do it well.

it is never the color of a cat that dictates attitude in a cat but how it was socialized and the type of treatment it has received. In reference to the Blue Grey, it is referred to as a BlueCream and it has no more variance in attitude than any other color. I have been raising and breeding Manx cats for years in addition to domestic. I have nearly every mixed color from Torty, Calico, Cameo, Tabby etc and they are all either shy or outgoing but attitude no. They were all socialized as kittens and handled as kittens. They were raised with the Min Pins I bred and have no real issues. Color is not what determines the attitude no more than attitude in dogs. It is how they are treated, handled and socialized.

There isn't a shred of proof for this theory, but even breeders of purebred cats believe it! And that comes from their experience with any cat that has orange or beige in its fur.

This color is produced by the gene we call the "red factor". So cats that are orange and white, orange tabby, calico, tortoiseshell, etc. often seem to have attitude no matter what the breed.

Reported traits include bossiness, hyper activity, heightened prey instinct, hogging food, beds, and human laps.

I had a calico cat who was very high-strung. My vet said he had seen a number of cats with the blueish-gray color in the calico pattern who were high-strung.

Not sure if this is just coincidence or not, but I have noticed that it seems to be true of the cats I've been around.

I would have to say yes.
I have black/white, black, grey/white, and 2 calicos (they are tortiseshell calicos...no white) They are all fixed too. Both of the calicos have attitudes while the other cats are.....just regular cats. One of the calicos is the 'alpha' cat of the neighborhood! She will take on girl cats, boy cats, and chase dogs! Her mother growls at any cat passing too close to her. She follows me like a dog and can be very loving...when she wants to, but other times I hold her when she doesn't want to be held and she will growl at me and get mad (she does have a temper!).

No, it's not true. I have a dilute calico now who's sweet as sugar and have had other calicos before. I've never heard such a thing before.

Animals are not people. They don't think like people, they think like animals. They do not have "attitudes" in the way people do.

No thats not true! A calico acts like any other cat. Those are just myths. I have a calico Maine coon and it’s the sweetest thing ever.

All cats have an attitude no matter the color. That's the cool thing about cats and why I love them so much. I couldn't imagine a dog with a cat's attitude, it just wouldn't fit.

Calicos are just like any other cat.....it just depends on an individual cat's personality on whether they have an "attitude"...

Yes, they do, it varies from cat to cat. We call them Naughty Torties. They just want to do what they want to do and won't take no for an answer. I have one and she's got an attitude, she hasn't got a mean bone in her body though, just a cheeky streak.

A couple of my friends have them too, one is very cheeky, more so than my girl, the other is almost feral. She's on kitty prozac because of her 'issues'
