my son is 8 years old and being raised by my parents...the father has custody (because i signed it over) My son is being raised by my parents and i have been denied my visitaion rights.. i have paid him support and he would not give recepits because he was on welfare and did not want to claim it.
I continued to pay him suppot as well as my parents.. They do not recieve any money from him and sometimes he will come by and take my son for a weekend or a night...
I have recently een calling lawyers seing as my situation has changed and i would like to have visitaion with my child and the father wont let me see him. Even though the custody papers say i have general and liberal access. My paretns want to go for custody and i suport them (i was 14 when i had my son )
i still see my son when at my prents house or when his dad is away for a week or two then he comes and stays with mefor anight, but i hate having to do things so secretivly..and my sn is having a hard time with it too.

How can his father tell you no if he isn't even raising the child? If your son is at your parents house then why can't you just go there? I don't really understand.
As for the reciepts, you should have kept track and not paid if he didn't give you the reciept.
Sorry, but it sounds like you need to be mature about it. If you have access according to the custody agreement then he can't say no, and if he does you go back to court!
I would anyway if he isn't even raising the child. I feel a little sorry for the 8 year old that is stuck in this situation!

Hire an attorney. You pay support, you have a right to visit. Why does your husband have custody, but your parents are raising him WHILE your husband is collecting welfare on his son who's not living with him!!! UGH! That is so FRAUDULANT! Actually YOUR parents need to hire the attorney, you don't have custody, but can support them. Good Luck!

Go to family court and file a petition. Ask for legal advice.
It will be provided to you upon request. You should have
paid the child support in money orders. This way you would
have proof of support that was paid for your child.

get you a good lawyer . consultation is free talk to them and see what can be done.. and if you check most townsor one close by have lawyers for low income families that won't cost you anything check the yellow pages..as for receipts never pay him cash thats a no no. always use check or money order so you will have proof.. and if you have proof turn his butt into the child welfare office or human services.. he will have to pay back every dime they gave him..it is fraud. a federal offense..
