I've heard talk about eatting protein bars after working out but is that good for a peson whose trying to loose weight? If not what would you suggest to eat or take after the process of working out to refurbrish the nutrients you lost during your work out?

I wouldn't. Those protein bars are laden with different types of simple sugars and hazardous chemicals. I would stick to eating basic lean protein sources rather than downing any MRP or protein bar.

Some people believe that carbohydrates don't figure in when trying to lose weight. Some of this is true, a calorie deficit is exceptionally needed, but the mark of carbohydrate (Glycemic Index) will determine the rate of insulin used in the body.

As long as the protein bar is low in fat, low in carbs, high in fiber (more than 2 grams per every 100 calories) and has a decent amount of protein it's okay. I would eat it PRIOR to a work out, not afterwards. You don't need to do much after your work out except have water and cool down. Those "nutrients" you think you're losing are minimal, and a regular old multivitamin every day should suffice in keeping your vitamins and minerals in check.

Yes you can eat a protein bar. You need plenty of protein when dieting and working out.

Sure, just don't confuse energy bars ( complex carbs) with protein/power bars. My newest bar love is Clif Builders bars. All natural, vegan friendly, 20 grams of protein and they taste like twix bars. Eating one of those after my morning cardio is my main motivation!

Yes , they are good. I would not use them everyday though. They are a good source of protein when you don't have time for a full meal and need something healthy. You should eat a well balanced diet and take a multi vitamin everyday
