I am concerned about elderly people who have no (or very little) families and live in nursing homes and don't get visitors very often. They are very lonely and crave attention. I am a Hospice volunteer and these people just loving having company. They like someone to talk with even if it's about something that means nothing to you. They like to talk about the old days when they were young and halt and I let them. It makes them feel good, even if it's just for a short time. If I can make a few old people happy for a short time, that makes me happy.
