"More" trained and "better" trained are a lot different. I have heard they do a lot of dumb stuff.

I could set up a training program that consisted of daily beatings and torture and it could be the toughest training in the world. That doesn't mean it is going to help you fight a war.

US Special Operations Forces are better.

That depends on the mission that our SF guys are trained for. Most people dont realize that there are many special troop units out there. Seals, Delta, Recon, Airborne just to name a few and there are more without public names.
Spetsnaz troops WERE very well trained and pretty much comparable to our Navy Seals with a blood lust. If Spetsnaz still exists in Russia it is secret.

You can only physicly train any man up to a certain level, and that may vary man to man as far as actual physical strength goes.
As far as combat techniques, hand to hand, weapons specialtys, no matter the individual at a certain level it is 50/50 who will come out the winnner and in most cases it will be the one who made a mistake who loses.
It is in the mind that makes the best of the best the most competent.
Physical pain can be ignored and unless structural damage is done to muscle tissue of almost no consequences to ability to physicaly get job done.
Endurance is not just a matter of physical body size, build or weight for a man can go on long after his available energy levels from foods is exhausted and he actually begins to eat his own body, first the fats and then the muscles.
For you super patriots it does not make a difference the country man is from in regards to dedication to the job in hand and while religon may of given him a certain perspective on life it will not insure his survival when the ....hits the fan.
The US military has some very professional soldiers and yet look who is taking over training even our Special operatives, BlackWater, at its Caspian Sea base and those being trained come from many differenet countries.
Sloopy militarys from poorly run countrys will in all probability not have an attitude to build special operatives to the level of US and old Soviets or Brits and Aussies but don't bet on it.
Being special ops is not just combat shotme up eating snakes raw BS there are many challenging aspects to ones brain also, language, inprovovizing as the situation demands.
When it comes to well trained and dedicted a North Korean Special Forces may not be as tecnologicly well trained as an US, Brit or Russian op, but in the pure aspects of combat survial he may well be the best of the best.

Probably the Russian´s, cuz somehow the us military has gotten soft.

are drill sergents even allowed to use the "F" word anymore?

No body is allowed to "touch" you..... and if a drill sergent were to actually strike you or push you..... boy would he be in trouble.

Other than that.... i´d have to agree with everybody else... tough training or better trained.... but the russians are probably a hell of a lot tougher

I think their training is tougher. I think a certain amount of their guys die in the training process.

They are kinda like Russia's navy. Rusting hulks.
Not because they are not good soldiers, but because a military that is not used, decays.
