Its amazing how people can rely on science for the part of their lives that it directly benefits, but deny science on the origin of mankind because it contradicts their belief system.
The exact same process is used in evolutionary studies as in medicine, but Religious choose to ignore one and completely rely on another...........

Thinking for Dummies 101
Who invented gravity? Newton or 'God'?
Who invented mathematics, the speed of light, atomic particles, shoestring potatoes, etc etc etc?
Where does the 'knowledge' come from that a surgeon uses to fix whatever is wrong with a person? A book. And where did that book come from?
If the great wazhoo 'created' not just man, but all of existence, then how can an aspect of its creation 'interfere' with itself?
Interference can only come from ignorance, which is what defines humanity (or simply living in general) on earth. Do not mistake the fact that you have never been to Australia for the idea that Australia doesn't exist.

I thought you didn't believe in God? You said you were an atheist. Oh well. If God expects something to happen, if he allows it to happen, it will happen. I don't think God likes anything that is evil, but evil will be conquered in the end, and without evil, good would be non existent. Everything works out for God's plan. Also, healing is considered a spiritual gift (I think that is in either 1st or 2nd Corinthians), so things that have to do with the healing process are good. Suicide of any kind is murder, but even murder can be forgiven by God. All sins can be forgiven by God, but only if you ask for forgiveness and follow Him. Please don't shut God out before it's too late. I'll pray for you. God bless.

Christianity as recorded in the NT rejects doctors and medicine. "Physician, heal thyself." The NT clearly states Jesus taught that if believers are righteous and have faith, they will be healthy and "God" will take care of all their needs.
Jesus, in fact, *stressed* "divine" healing all throughout his ministry. He shunned conventional treatments. He even shunned cleanliness, insisting that filth and disease wouldn't harm a person if his faith is as strong as it should be.
And this is another example of Christian hypocrisy -- with the exception of Christian Scientists. Most Christians can't accept the bible as it really is (except for the parts they can use to beat someone else over the head with it). But Christians pretend to take all the bible literally, while twisting parts of it with their own creative footnotes until it fits into their comfort zone.
P.S. Re other answers: "God" didn't "make doctors" or medicine any more than "God" made plumbers or pizzas.

No. It is God's will that we have discovered these advances in the medical field. Suicide and Euthanasia are wrong, but if God truly wanted to stop them, He could.

God gave us the ability to deal with glitches in the system by developing ways to fix it. The only way I consider it interference is when some one's life is painfully dragged out longer than it should have been, just because we can. There is a fine line between being intermediaries of God in healing, VS playing God ourselves, and it is hard sometimes to tell where that line should be drawn.

Only if you believe that God is the only healer......I happen to believe that "God" gave us the means by which to help heal our selves...... story:
A man is perched on the roof of his home in the midst of a flood..... along came a raft with rescuers to save him....he replied....I have faith that god will rescue me....an hour late came a boat with rescuers who threw out a life line....the man refused saying I have faith that god will rescue me.... 2 hours later when the flood levels had finally reached him he beseeched the lord..... Why hast thou not saved me? I have had faith in you oh lord..... The lord replied.....I sent a raft to save you and you did not go..... Then I sent a boat with a life line to save and still you would not go.....I can not save some one who will not save themselves..... The moral of the story is that if we were not meant to have the technology through Divine deliverance we would not be able to make the break throughs necessary to help save our selves.... be it surgery, life support, immunization etc..... So no medicine is not interfering with God's plan....I believe that God EXPECTS us to develop and move onto a higher plane of existence....

No, not at all. Science and Medicine are in God's plan. He wants us to know more and more and He wants us to cure diseases. When Science and Medicine are used to good purposes, God is always blessing.
Peace!
