I too am terrified of the dentist that why I haven't gone. I am also terrified of taking my children too so they scared like me. I just took my baby to the dentist believe me I was totally scared but the dentist was nice. Only he couldn't do anything for me baby so now on to a pediatric dentist... how fun!
I too have to go get my wisdom teeth pulled but I don't know if I'm going to do it though. I'm too scared.

Errr just think of it logically. You won't have a cavity because you go to the dentist, you either have a cavity or not.

As for the dentist, it's just a routine thing, it's not a big deal. They usually have a flirty cleaning person the first time anyways to ease you into it. They'll make you feel like you're super special.

Oh and nowadays you can watch TV at the dentist's so it's not as bad to spend the time, they do it for this reason.

I think instead of freaking out about going to the dentist you should freak out in case you have a cavity that needs filling if you DON'T go and it'll just keep growing and growing etc. That's less cool than the dentist.

Take a chill pill...if you don't get a dental checkup and cleaning, you won't have those "never had a cavity" teeth for very long, say beyong the age of 40! Last course of action, find a dentist for cowards, that use nitrous oxide(laughing gas) to get the job done. your choice....

Do you freak out this way every 6 months when you need your teeth cleaned? If you do then call your dentist and ask if he will prescribe something to help you relax. If you don't normally freak out when you get your teeth cleaned every six months then try to figure out what is causing your panic this time.

Dentists are well aware of the fact that many people are hesitant (to put it mildly) about dental visits. Call the office and let them know about your concern, they'll consider a mild sedative for you. Take a deep breath, calm down...you're not alone on that boat.

Well, then in that case y don't u visit me, I'll clean ur teeth very very gently so u won't feel any pain, and even if I do detect any cavities in ur teeth, I won't tell u about them, cool?
