If atheists believe humans are animals like goats and ants, but a little smarter, then why do they follow fake societal norms? If their whole point of being on this planet is simply to eat, procreate, and die, why do they wake up at 6am, shower, get in their car and drive into the city just to get a paycheck so they can eat? Why do they debate philosophical questions, watch football, and read to their children? If an atheist procreated, then they did their job...isn't everything else they are doing pointless? If our life is only to make babies, how can an atheist justify spending money to open a business, wasting time on getting an education, or doing anything else that takes effort or time? What is the point in any of us trying to better humanity if we are all just animals and only are here by accident? If humans weren't created to seek greatness, aren't special, and if they were just a freak mistake of science, why would bettering ourselves even be a concern to an atheist?

Your misunderstanding of science and basic human nature staggers the mind. I have to go have coffee now.
Societal norms aren't "fake" just because they aren't handed down by a sky god.
Atheists love their children. What kind of person thinks that only people who think "just like them" have the capacity to love?
The last thing Atheists claim is that we are a "freak of nature". Take the most basic science class you can find for an answer to this.

fake societal norms? where did you get that from? we only do what we enjoy doing, what is worth OUR TIME. rather than spend it chanting to something that apparently floats above in the clouds...we have better things to do than that! oh and yes, we are animals. by the way most atheists use their time to understand how and why instead of taking everything that is told to them with a pinch of salt. we have brains, like you do, but we use ours. and yes we do have to eat so we can sustain ourselves, thus have to work to earn the cash to pay for it. but our work isn't for the sake of earning cash, we actually like what we do, and we do stuff to UNDERSTAND, and we are leaders not followers. unlike you. nothing we do is pointless. maybe you should ask yourself that the next time you stand in front of some statue or your bed, and pray for an imaginary someone to help you do better. you help yourself do better man. you and your mind.

This is from a Christian---atheists are people too! They do alot of the same things anyone else does. They still care about their children and love them, go to work to provide for their families. Our job on earth is not to judge anyone. It's not our place. Only God can do that. If you read alot of what non-believers say out here, you'll see that some of them question God and worry about Hell. This tells you right there, God is in them or they wouldn't have the worry. Be understanding and encouraging. God is working on them. And as I tell the atheists and any other group, we need to STOP the generalizing! Not everyone in any group is the same.

I do. i'm not afraid to admit that that's what i'm easily doing at cases i'm inquisitive approximately freedom of expression and so on. yet faith should not be placed into that class. the comparable as strolling around yet bare isn't regular, faith additionally should be squashed. Its purely fantasy with rationalizations to attempt and make it look credible. of direction i will nevertheless come across which you're a theist of a few varieties.

I'll defend atheists on this for I use to walk that path for 30 yrs.
1. atheists seek truth...not what someone tells them, not what they read, but physical, let me touch it, proof.
2. many atheists know the bible and all about it, but due to how the church or men talk about it, they choose not to be part of it. I myself included cause I stayed away from religion and all of it cause I knew it was wrong, wrong how its taught, wrong how it was preached.
Plus you can see contradictions, etc at times and they see it. And they know bibles like the KJV, NIV, NL, etc are just story books for they changed, and the book itself says don't change it. So once you change something in one, it makes that version worthless, for it goes against the very words of the book, and that they see and call that error out.
Today I follow G_D for I have found the truth, the real book. Truth does not lay within a building many call a church, actually that building is what chases most away.
Sure there are kids out there that swing the title of atheist around, but they are just confused. Just like some Christians swing around that title but clearly aren't on. Don't judge all by the few.

I get up in the morning because I've got somewhere to go. Otherwise I usually get up in the afternoon.
And procreating isn't my 'job', it's simply something that people have an innate desire to do. We also have an innate desire to eat, drink, etc. so it wouldn't make much sense to stay at home and starve, would it? As for why we do other things, usually because we enjoy them.
If your religion is the only thing that keeps you going, then I truly pity you.

Is this another example of your "reasoning and facts"?
Once again you make a totally unsubstantiated (and false) claim about what athiests believe, then make a totally unrelated (and equally false) assumption based on that claim, and use that as the basis of a totally irrelevant loaded question that you repeat several times with minor variations and additional false claims about what athiests believe.

LOL ok first of all sleeping at night and waking in the morning is the natural sleep cycle. second of all we have jobs- nope we're not the losers you think we are. We have families and we have feeling and we don't like it when people say nasty things about us and our friends so if you could please refrain from posting ignorant rants about us we would appreciate it. Have a wonderful day and don't forget that your god doesn't think to highly of judgement...... Yeah maybe you should get off the computer and go pray for forgiveness

So much ignorance and mis-information in one question - amazing.
I am an atheist - I love waking up every morning, and living the life I lead.
I do not need the promise of reward from a supernatural father-substitute to make me live a decent and moral life, and explore my spiritual place in this wonderful universe.
Go and get some education before posting your ignorant nonsense.

The lack of a god doesn't imply that one would lack a desire to learn and improve. If God is the only reason that you do this, then your life is a meaningless projection of another being, and you have nothing on your own. Athesits believe that it is what we DO in our lives that will last, and that gives our actions greater import than the Christian position which claims that what we DO means nothing, and that it is only Christ who matters.
