Has anyone ever heard of taking risperdal for sleep? if you ever took it for this purpose what was your experience with it?

No. Risperdal is an anti-psychotic medication. If you are not schizophrenic, you do NOT want to take this medication.

It is not for insomnia at all.

My 6 year old son is on Ritalin la and Risperdal to boot. He became on Clonidine for dozing yet became stopped as quickly as the Risperdal became started to boot. Wow-we are interior a similar boat! I supply my son a million pill of Melatonin earlier mattress. it incredibly is an organic over the counter drugs and it works super! He sleeps all night. desire this permits!

My moms medical doctor prescribed her that for anxiety and sleep I think. But its an anti-pshycotic, My mom and I both work in the mental health field. She decided to just not fill the prescription and take it, but I think in your case you should seek a second opinion.

it is just for anxiety, etc. not for insomnia
