I once asked if it was normal that my dogs were eating each other's poo. However, I've learned that it's the outside cat's poo that they are digging up....in my flowerbeds, no doubt. How can I make them stop? Better yet, how do I make the cat stop pooping in the flower beds? AAHHHH!!!

Lmao. someone else with the saaaame issue as me.... it's disgusting, isn't it?!?!
My puppy will search out, and eat the neighborhood cat's poop all the time! I'm sure if I had other dogs around she'd eat their poop too! She will eat ANYTHING though. But, I have to include, she's teething, and I'm not sure if she ingests everything she chews or not. Poop is definatey down the hatch though... I just make sure NOT to get kisses from her after being outside... YUCK!!!
There is a product that you can sprinkle in your flowerbeds that wont harm the cats or the flowers, but will make the cats not want to poop there. I can't remember the name of it though. Check at your local petsmart or whatever you have around there. It'll be either near the outdoor things or by the bitter apple-type products.

They like the protein. If you changed the cats to a raw diet they would have lower protein levels in their feces as more would be absorbed. Using commercial cat foods increases waste and smell. To keep cats out of your flower beds, use a water scarecrow. It's a sprinkler with a motion sensor on it. When the cat walks by, the sprinkler starts and chases off the cat and then the sprinkler turns off again.

Cats do not like to dig where it makes noise. You could put something like aluminum foil under your mulch and a cat would not find it pleasant to dig there. Dogs love to eat poop, cat horses cows. Mydog sitter lives on a farm and last time I went on vacation I dropped off my little 8 pound doxie and - ewww - when I came to pick him up he was running to see me and detoured to a pile of cow dung - rolled in it took a few bites and wantd to jump in my car - ewwwww. He thought this was wonderful andthat I was just being picky-lol Good luck -k-

My dogs do this they will go to great lengths to get to it Its gross and it will give them worms also. The vet told me that dogs like poop ecspecially cat poop its a delicacy to them. HMM YUM I haven't been able to get mine to stop either. I tried coffee grounds in the flower beds it seemed to work for a little while. I put rabbit poop in the flower beds and that seemed to work for alittle while also. Moth balls will work if you put them in a net bag ( like an onion bag) and tie them around your flower beds but I'm afraid my dogs will get into the moth balls and how lovely to see little red bags tied all around your gardens.
