Heres the situation, i'm 13 and i do a hundred crunches a day. A couple of weeks ago it was going really well and i was starting to feel the burn at about 20 but now it takes loads before i feel the burn and it doesn't feel right when i'm doing them. I don't know whether i've got the technique wrong or what, also when i'm doing them i can't keep a steady movement and i actually shake quite a lot. Please help it's driving me insane and It's having a knock on effect on my life cos i can't do anything right when I'm depressed.

ok... you need to keep your stomach pulled in the whole time. do not use your arms to help you up. if you put your hands behind your head dont pull on your neck make your stomach do all the work. I have found that the techniques used in windsor pilates and the most beneficial when it comes to sit ups etc. breath "out" as you sit up and "in" as you, SLOWLY veterbrae by vertabrae go back down. hope this makes sense and can help. otherwise you could visit a gym and get some expert advice!

you might be doing them wrong, but you still could be doing them right!!! You need to change the crunches, so you are excercising your whole core (tummy). Sometimes, when your muscles get used to the same thing, it doesn't max your potential for your abs. You also should do 2 or 3 sets of 15....Explore different ways, there are hundreds of different ways to excercise your core (abs), consult a excercise guru, if you can. If you can't afford it, go to the library or look it up on the internet, for different core excercises. Major six pac for the summer!!! Good Luck!!! You have started, don't give up!!!

Sounds like you may have over done the physical fitness bit and you may have run your blood sugar down below normal. Better check with the doctor and see if you may be anemic and need something to build your body back up before you exercise again.

first, i think you should cut down on the number of crunches you do a day. and if you dont have an actual formation of "abs" then that "shaking" if just forming them. but dont push your limite to far! you might get hurt!

Seek expert advice to be sure I don't like the fact that you are "shaking".
