Media player says starts acquiring codecs and atlast playing only some sounds in that clip. Could some body say how to correct it so that I am able to see the video in that?

Most likely you need to download and install DivX or XVid codecs. Even if they aren't the codecs you need, it's a good idea to do so. But, if you want to find out what codecs you need to play certain videos, download and run a utility called GSpot. It doesn't require installation, just runs directly from the executable.

i don't use divx or wmp, i recommend using media player classic, it is included in the K-Lite codec pack

during the last part of the installation you can set media player classic as the default player for various types and this will open any movie/ video, including flash and quicktime videos

highly recommend and its free

i think that videos need extra codecs, like DivX, XVid...
