I do 120 sit ups per day. 60 in the morning and 60 in the evening. I am finding this a bit boring now and not much of a challenge and theres no pain. Does anyone know of a variation of this so that I can feel the burn again and make sure I am building muscle tone? My stomach is completely flat but I don't want it to go the other way because I'm not doing proper toning exercise. Thanks

Try the plank (toes and elbows on the ground holding up your whole body, keep your back straight) or the plank on your side which is great for your side abs.

Another good one is crunches with your legs flat on the ground as it targets the lower abs.

Cykle crunches where you alternate sides, touching you elbow to the oposite knee are good

Holding a crunch and pulse 3 times on every crunch really gets the burn as well

I also like doing situps with a weightball as you train your shoulders and arms at the same time.

you could always raise your legs at the same time as the sit up.
leave your legs up in the air.
but your self a sit up bench you could set it at 45/90 degrees. this really does burn ( it does for me).
try holding the sit up position for 10 seconds or more.

I always do mine with a pint of beer in each hand...if you are not a beer drinker, I suggest a glass of babycham or to make it really hard work, a flute of champagne full almost to the brim...good luck

draw your knees up to your bum and drop them to one side do 30 on that side then swap sides and do 30 on that you will get great definition.
