If god were so smart, then why did he appear thousands of years ago when people were backward and society was still being developed and there were no newspapers or cameras to record the event. What a theoretical bonehead..
P.S. The earth is only 4 years old, that's what my church says, so I must say it too

There's no reason, in theory, why god's presence couldn't be measured or detected in some way. The only reason that believers claim that god "can't" be detected in this way is because god *isn't* detected, and so a vast and intricate rationale has to be devised to explain this vast, loving, eternal, all-powerful "something" which is, in every external, objective respect, indistinguishable from nothing.

He will appear again. First will be the Rapture when the Christians are taken to Heaven. This will be the proof for non-believers provided by God. Then there will be a period of time on earth where you can chose to follow the anti-christ or accept God before Christ's second coming to earth. He knows that some people can't believe what they don't see and He is willing to give everyone a second chance.
But since it sounds like you believe He did appear thousands of years ago, maybe He is tugging on your heart right now! Just let him in and ask forgiveness for your sins, you won't be one of the ones left behind in the Rapture.

Lol, funny how the Jews believe they will be the saved people at the end of the world, debree.
So if you're wrong are you going to convert to Judiasm, or punish your parents as you suffer for eternity?

Not God: the worshipers. They have maintained and passed down a very simple way of thinking. The simplest beliefs are often the most firmly held.

Because he wanted people to believe in the Church age dispensation (for by faith you are saved thru Christ) and not of ourselves (our own understanding, which for some of us is sight). So that we would have gifts and rewards in heaven.
Even the angels are in awe that we believe, without having seen. We are in a time whereas it is such a gift just to have the opportunity to use our faith.
