Do you think maybe I think I'm fat becuase I'm what is known as *skinny-fat* Which is basically being skinny but flabby becuase you're not toned. I'm 5ft, 115 lbs. Am I skinny-fat? I'm starting to do Turbo Jam DVD's for an hour every morning. Will that work? With a healthy diet?

I know exactly what you mean... I am the same way!! There is a lot of flubbery skin?? I would say that cardio will help burn calories and reduce your flubber, but you also need to combine that with some strength training to firm up the muscle. Do squats, sit ups, etc. You need to tone everything or it will still jiggle.

Your not toned becuase you naturally dont have very much muscle. Im a guy and that was my problem sadly. The only thing to remedy it and to make yourself look more fit and in shape is strength training. Turbo Jam will just make you look the same way but maybe a pound lighter.

I cant tell you a specific plan of attack but the main point is to lift heavy like a guy. IE do squats, deadlifts, dips, assisted pull ups. Shoulder presses. Not with those 2lb dumbells but with a weight thats actually hard. This will add muscle without making you look bulky which is a myth. There is a great link on the science behind everything i mentioned.

At 5ft exactly, you don't want to weigh more than what you already weigh. I am two inches taller than you, and medically speaking my ideal weight is 110-115. But, to answer your question, yes, some people are like that. You need to be doing circuit training to tone up, so if that is incorporated in Turbo Jam, you should be good to go. If it's not, just get some ankle and leg weights to put on for part of your workout time.

Darling you are not "fat" you just need to tone up to build muscle and eat some protein (fish, egg whites, chicken, and a little red meat won't hurt), cut back on bread, dairy and suguar and exercise at least 4 days a week. Resistance bands produce fast results. I like Turbo Jam, and Hip Hop Abs. YOU'RE NOT FAT at 5 ft 115 lbs.

Doing the Turbo Jam DVD's will definently tone up your body, and that can make the flab go away, but your skinny!!

your situation is very common. a lot of petite women neglect diet and exercise and only focus on the scale weight and not the body composition.

I have seen women your size with body fat as high as 30% before, simply because there is almost a complete lack of muscle mass. you need to focus on eating healthy and resistance training to increase the amount of fat free mass that you have to improve the body composition with far less focus on the total body weight

You need to put muscle on your body, women sometimes fear muscle - they think it will make them look bigger or bulky but it contours your frame and makes you have a tight little body where nothing jiggles (except the things that are supposed to jiggle).... Hit the gym with some weights....

If you really want to know go to a gym and have them check your muscle mass ratio to fat with a test. It will tell you a lot.

Just about any exercise program and a healthy diet will work. You just have to keep at it.
