Dear Lord,

You know my friend so much better than I do.

You know his sickness and his need.

You also know his heart.

Lord, I ask you to be with my friend now, working in his life. Let Your will be done in my friend's life.

If there is a sin that needs to be confessed and forgiven, Lord, please help him to see his need and confess.

Lord, I pray for my friend because Your Word says I should pray for His healing.

I believe You hear this earnest prayer from my heart and that it is powerful because of Your promise. I have faith in You to heal my friend, but I also trust in the plan you have for my friend's life.

Lord, I don't always understand Your ways, and why my friend has to suffer, but I trust You now. May You be glorified in my friend's life and also in mine.

Amen

"And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective."
James 5:15-16 (NIV)

Pax vobiscum, pax dominic.

it's not the prayer per se that might help him but the faith that you have in the person getting better. It has been scientifically proven that faith does help us in certain levels. The Lord's Prayer is the best there is.

Dear Jesus,
Divine Physician and Healer of the Sick,
we turn to You in this time of illness.
O dearest Comforter of the Troubled,
alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love,
and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden.
Dear God,
we place our worries in Your hands.
We ask that You restore Your servant to health again.
Above all,
grant us the grace to acknowledge Your holy will
and know that whatsoever You do,
You do for the love of us.

Amen.

Loving God, your Son accepted our sufferings to teach us the virtue of patience in human illness. Hear the prayers we offer for our sick brothers and sisters. May all who suffer pain, illness, disease, and the frailty of old age realize that they have been chosen to be saints and know that they are joined to Christ in his suffering for the salvation of the world. Amen.

Just fallow your heart. Say their name, what is wrong with them and use scripture from the bible. Two or more praying together works even more. At least it says that in the bible. Just the fact that you believe in the power of prayer will help you. I'm sorry someone you care for is ill.

Prayer is the act of asking an unproven omniscient, omnibenevolent, omnipotent entity to help you with problems he should already know about in ways he should already want to using effort that costs him nothing

Just close your eyes. hands folded and pray to whosoever you like.
Make a request that the sick person gets well soon. If you are sincere in your request , it happens.

Also wish the person lots of pink light. It is a Feng Shui thing. Pink for health. Think he/she is bathed in pink light .
I wish the person good health.

What does your heart tells you? If you are able to answer this question, that is the right prayer to use.

The only good prayer is the one you pray to God yourself, of your own words and desires.

Yes, you should make one up, but they do work. You shouldn't be looking for scripted prayers: just say what's on your mind and what you're worried about.
