Last yr we had a heatwave I buy a huge A/C & had no 1 to install it. Sears was too expensive. I ask 1 of my neighbors to install it & offer to pay him, he agrees. I go to leave a note in his door, the note only said I'd pay him for installing my A/C & to ring my bell when he returns home. A young lady is coming out the apt. She stops & asks can she help me - "I'm his wife" - she had an attitude - wasn't friendly - she read the note, I told her what it was for, she seems mad, took the note & said she'll tell him. This is a guy who offered to help me with anything in my apt if I ever need help. That's why I ask him. Ever since then when I run into this lady she has attitude at me & always looks mad. 1 day she's coming out the elevator, I'm going in, she lets the door go. I saw her today & she looks mad at me. I thought I should say something to her to break the tension & assure her I meant nothing I just needed help that day & he offered to help me. Should I? Or leave it alone?

Let me also add that I've never done anything wrong to this young lady or her "husband". He offered to help me with anything in my apt & the day I saw him we were having a heatwave & I asked him to help install it. I went to leave a note on his door later on because he wasn't home when I tried to reach him to get the A/C installed & I wanted to let him know I would pay him & I was at home, that he can ring my bell when he returns home to install the A/C. This lady acts like I did something wrong to her & I'm really sick of having to be the one to try & make PEACE with people who get attitudes over stupid things when I didn't do anything. It bothers me when people act like that with me because I don't want any trouble & I don't want to be disliked but I didn't DO ANYTHING WRONG!!!! Maybe I should ignore her & not let her attitude bother me. She seemed to have an attitude even before then .....

What an insecure cow! There's probably more to the story there and there are probably serious trust issues in her relationship but there's no reason for her to take it out on you. I don't think saying anything to her will really help but then again, what do you have to lose? She already hates you. Just tell her that you seem to have gotten off on the wrong foot with her and want to assure her that nothing inappropriate was giong on with you and her hubby, you just needed help and took him up on it because he OFFERED (it is key that you mention this). If she still can't get past it, then it's her problem.

She is jealous. Try to say something if she'll listen. If she still acts like that, leave it alone, at least you tried. People are just dumb sometimes. Maybe her face froze in that mad way. lol

she sounds like a *****. i would just ignore her... maybe even throw a few angry looks at her. all you did was ask for help why the hell would she be so mad at you... or you could ask her husband if he knows.. but i would treat her how she treats you..
