The last year you could get a v-8 mustang that didn't have to be a gt was back in 1993. Since then the GT has been the v-8 car.

The mustang GT is a v8 and the mustang is just a V-6. You getter a lot more power with the gt and better handling. The mustang is for girls get the gt and you will never want to own another car trust me I've had 2 of them .

The GT is usually the 8 cyl engine version of the regular Mustang (6 cyl). I had a 2005 premium model - 6 cyl - NOT GT. Hope that helps!

The main thing is the engine the GT has a V8 while the other has the V6. There are also some trim differences.

I had a GT convert and it was awesome. Wife's car, she sold it because she couldn't fit the grandkids safety seats in the back properly.
