I had one--a red and white vertical striped one that I purchased with a Williams Sonoma gift card that I received as a wedding gift. I wore it a few times, then pitched it. I'm a creature of habit--when my hands are dirty (with non dangerous things like flour, sugar, a little oil, etc.) I keep a dish towel or bar mop handy to wipe them off quickly until I can take a break from my cooking to properly wash them with soap and water. If I get something on them that can be dangerous (raw egg, raw chicken, etc.) I stop what I'm doing and immediately wash them.
I found that wearing an apron makes me feel like I'm being choked (even though the strap goes around the back of my neck) and prohibits me from moving freely about the kitchen. I know it'll save my clothes from spills, grease, etc., but when I get home from work or when I cook on the weekends, I put on an old t-shirt and shorts/sweats anyway, so it doesn't matter if they're ruined. Who wants to cook in a silk blouse, slacks and a pair of heels? I'm all about comfort!

1 it's from the 1950's given to me by my grandmother who passed away when I was a little girl. I never really use it but take it out every now and then for memories sake.

Not a one.
Perhaps I can borrow one of yours though, as I tend to get very, very messy when cooking/baking!!!
