There is not really such a thing as good food and bad food.

There is food that is healthy and food that is not so healthy if over consumed.

The key to healthy food is a high nutrient return for the calories consumed.

For example if I eat an apple a day over what my body needs everyday. I will still gain about 10 pounds in one year.
An average apple is about 70 calories.

So good food bad food is not really the issue.

Caloric intake and nutritional value is what you need to concern yourself with.

If you eat nutrient poor food like potato chips all the time, you are not getting a well rounded diet. Thus your body is still hungry and craves the nutrients it needs to be healthy.
So guess what you keep eating, obesity is a form of malnourishment.
The key is balance.

Good luck and good health

Don't categorize foods as good and bad. Sure, some have more nutritional values than others, but as long as you eat anything in moderation, a little junk food is not going to kill you or make you gain weight.

I learned this the hard way through an eating disorder.

Unless you have an allergy, or some other medical condition that has compromised your immune system, there is no such thing as a "bad" food.

What there are are foods that can be eaten in greater or lesser amounts, depending on you own experience.

The advice to eat a diet that is varied and slanted towards fruits, vegetables and whole grains seem to be good.

i need to say a thing i.e good foods are nutrients &bad foods are the nails! I believe that foods are morally neutral, that they are neither good nor bad.Today I found an accurate but colorful definition of “junk food””. “Junk Food”—products high in fat, salt, refined sugar whose packaging process and materials probably cost more than the food. This thought should be a main point on your health compass

There is no such thing as 'good' n 'bad' food. Surely you were taught that at school. As long as you have a variety of foods of the right proportions.
just don't eat too much sugary foods (a bit won't harm you)
and lots of vitamins and minerals n all that. Drink lots of water and eat pasta, fish etc you know...

the best food are those that come directly from nature with the least amouont of processing
IE: chicken bought from your local farmer is better than chicken bought at the big chain market
IE: fruit bought ripe from your local farmer is better than fruit bought at the meglomart....
the more procesing the less REAL nutrition
but the really bad foods are not really that bad if you consume in moderation

Staying away from fried foods is a smart move. Having more organic foods such as salad, carrorts etc. Even organic chicken is really good for you.

As long as you stay away from your chips, cookies etc and youw ill be fine. Learn to balance them all.
