hypertension negativly effects blood vessels. especially the smallest blood vessels which are in your kidneys, eyes, etc.

the kidneys cant purify the blood as effectively as ithey should if someone has hypertension..therefore there is an increase in sodium potassium etc as the cant be excreted as well as they should!

It forces more blood through the kidney and the kidney has to work harder to extract the excretion from the blood.
