There are a lot of camera's out there! I have a Fuji Fine Pix that I got a couple of years ago. I would go to www.overstock.com and look at the camera's that they have there. The prices are really low. My dad got a 4 gigabite thumbdrive with a thumb print scanner for like $40! I hope that you can find a camera you like! Good Luck!

Out of the 3 cameras you may have picked, I could must say that Canon is the bigger one for picture fine. However, if you'll manage to pay for just a bit additional, I could propose you try to purchase the Canon Powershot A540 as an alternative. It's a bigger digital camera than the A530, probably on the grounds that... it has a higher LCD monitor (although it is a low determination) It has Aperture & Shutter Priority modes (the A530 does no longer) It has a miles bigger film mode (30fps v a disappointing 10 fps on the fine fine). The extra frames in step with moment, the bigger. So, I consider if you'll manage to pay for extra, then appear on the A540...or for those who can not, then purchase the A530 (simply do not anticipate to shoot any first rate 'films' and so on). But picture sensible it's well.

Hello. Personally I'm getting a Kodak Easyshare Z612. It has 6mp, 12x optical zoom (and don't use or even count the extra digital zoom as it lessens the quality), and has a host of features whether it's used automatically or via the manual controls for further creativity. It has a nice 2.4" LCD screen for composition and has so much to offer. You can get it for less than $250... so you can use the other cash for extra digital camera items. Go check out kodak's webpage for it at: http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=8824&pq-locale=en_US&_requestid=9985. Good luck and have fun.

I bought a Canon Elph SD700IS, and it takes amazing pictures, has auto-everything, and is so easy to use. I just love it. I gave away my old Olympus SLR because this little Canon takes way better pics. Panasonic (Lumix) is really good too.

I agree with the Fujifilm Finepix. I have the F10, which I chose for the low light performance. If it ever dies, I'll get the F30. You might have to shop around to get it for under $300 though.

I would get used Sony powershot from eBay for $300($650 brand new). That camera will do everything for you, other cheap cameras not good for amateurs.
