probably. but you must be proactive! make flyers and put them within a few blocks of your house. cats will generally not go outside a 2 mile area of home. call every shelter, animal control, etc atleast every few days!! if she gets picked up, you want to make sure you can claim her before she is adopted or worse.
put her litter box outside to attract her, and food and a towel or piece of clothing that smells like you. sit outside for awhile every day, quietly.
cats have great instincts. she will probably make it home and youll find her howling on the porch...one of mine was gone for two weeks doin god know what and then showed up at my neighbors.
good luck!

I have two cats..one from a shelter as a kitten, who is petrified to go out. Got out once and hid under the porch for 2 days. The other on the other hand, did not go out at first, but then once she got a taste of the outdoors would only come back when hungry. This last time she was gone for 4 days. She was around the house as people would see her. She was rescued after from our flower garden after the hurricane. So if you cat was an outdoor cat or wild when a kitten, she wil probably always have that instinct. Cats are smart. They know where home is. Just hope she has her claws and her shots to protect her from other cats and diseases.
My mother had a cat, had to give it away, took it to a friends 14 miles away. The cat ran away and 10 days later was sitting on our front porch. They have great homing instincts and if they want to come back they will.

Cats are pretty unique in their ability to adopt a new house to live in or opt out of it. It would be interesting to get a better understanding of cats because they seem much more complex than the other most favoured choice, the dog.

I have always preferred dogs to cats but one day a cat decided to adopt me. At first, I was dead against it. No cats around here ! They eat birds and they're selfish. They only show affection when they want something, otherwise they keep to themselves. While on the otherhand, a dog can be a real pal because they are so much more social creatures.

Finally, this cat won me over. It moved in and we became friends. I suspect also that this cat knew of my preference for dogs because I can swear at times it was behaving like one. It would wait for my return from work and race out to meet me, even though it must have been sure I wasn't going to automatically fill it's dish with some cat food.

Cats act with a degree of freedom that we should envy. The only one that can answer your question is your cat.

Is she spayed? If she isn't she probebly went out to get bred. She will come back but you should expect kittens after she comes back. When my cat went missing I put cat ip spray all over the out side of my house eventully she came back. Good luck!
