89 sierra dually, Can you change flares too standard/ remove outside wheels?.

you will need to change the bed, the factory cuts part of the fender for the dually fenders. you will also need to change the front rotors and hub.

Years ago, I remember seeing dually pickups with the duals taken off and wide slicks put in place with a single wide rim on each side. The wide fender flares were left in place and the trucks were refered to as Phantoms. The trucks were usually lowered as well. Looked pretty neat but I haven't seen them lately.

yes you can change the dually rear to a single rear. if you want to do it right the first time. you need to take off the dually fenders. than you have to change the rear hub for the axle from a dually to a single because they are not the same hub and you have to do the same with front axle to make it look stock. good luck with it

YEA you can pull off the flares you might need a touch up on paint in that area or i;ve seen where you just hugh wide tires and it looks awsome
