for their hypocracy? i hear a lot of christians say of people like ted haggard, "well, he's only human." for me, that doesn't wash. bill clinton was "only human" - he never claimed to be a beacon of moral fortitude. ted haggard ranted against gays and drugs from the pulpit. doesn't that make hypocracy in his case a bigger sin than anything else he's done?

Yes and he should get punished for that hypocrosy...he should get the death penalty as a religious leader who didnt practice what he preached.

You're crossing a line into casting judgement now. Who am I to say what Ted Haggard or Bill Clinton did or didn't do was worse than what the other did, or worse than what I did and do. I say, there's nothing we can do except forgive them and love them. It's not our place to cast judgement, we are commanded to forgive all precisely because we can't possibly know the intent and circumstances that led to anothers committing sin.

I agree with you. We all make mistakes..or sin if you will...but not all of us are saying that we're perfect like he was.
Yeah was Clinton did was wrong, but that's between him and his wife. Haggard is just a bastard that used his position to get what he wanted, and use people along the way.

I don't know how God will judge them. I think it depends on if they are TRULY sorry for their sins or not.

But if a person claims to be a Christian, and yet leads others astray, all the while denying that they need forgiveness, I believe God will judge them VERY harshly.

I don't, though.
