I just saw a documentary film on the two foot gage, steam powered railway that services Darjeeling. Very heavy grade at high altitude.

I have no plans to visit India, but if I ever do, this is one piece of railroad I will ride.

From what I saw, it is an all day affair to reach Darjeeling, but the scenery looked as impressive as the train was curious. If you're there, take the trip for me, and shoot me some pictures.
