Girl, you have to listen to your heart!! If the other guy is what you want, go for it. Now, as to getting over your ex:
One way you could patch things up is leave a letter on his dorrstep saying that you don't want to fight, and basically what you have told all of us here up above. At the end, have the address and time of a place for him to meet you AS FRIENDS if he is willing to work things out. If he comes, then you know things will be okay, and if he is a no show, you can at leaast say you tried. And if you do not try, you will never get a moments peace. The little voice in your head will never let you forget.

Ignore him. Sometimes you just can't be friends with exes so suddenly after a break up. That happens with time after your over it. If he would've really been mature you could have been friends but he is telling you to bleep off, that's disrespecting you already. Friends shouldn't do that.
You need to get over him and avoid situations where he will be because you will only receive heartache by watching his behavior. I wouldn't recommend you get with another guy, you will only hurt him and will still be thinking about the other guy when your with him. You don't need all that drama. Time is what you need. Avoid the other guy, love hurts...

Basically ur ex is not even interested in being friends with you. asking u to F off is confirmation. besides u said u'll be fine...and with that, just leave him alone. what a guy needs last is his ex bugging him when proabably she's the last thing on his mind now. move on with your life.
I think you ought to let your bro know that you are interested in his fren. nothing wrong wif going out wif ur bro's fren provided
he's ok with it. you dun wanna make the wrong move and get him mad at you.

Just try to be the bigger person. Don't do or say anything that you will regret later. You'll feel better soon.
