I've agreed to meet this man off an online dating site; so I want to look decent but yet don't want to be "underdressed" for where ever we go, what should I wear?

Stay with a smart casual look. Nice trousers or Jeans - and a great top.

I think it depends where you are and how old you are.
I find in London everywhere is mch more 'dress down' than it is in say Leeds or Manchester. So that would alter what you should wear because women seem to dress up just ot go to the supermarket in Manchester.
If you are under 30 I would wear something pretty fashionable - leggings and a tunic top or somehing like that because a date wanting to inpress you is likely to want ot take you to somewhere young and hip - and then you are ready to go on to a club or whatever if you get on.
30-40 I would go with the jeans and nice top - unless you live in Leeds or Manchester when it sohuld be trousers/skirt and top - then you are ready fro anything.
Over 40 I would expect a date to take me to a nice restaurant so I would dress accordingly.

Ask him where he is taking you. You are making this a bigger problem than it is. Just call or msg him & ask him what the plans are. You have a right to know what the plans are since you did meet him off a Online Dating Site. Make sure its in the public & around a lot of people. You don't wanna get raped or kill, no matter how cute he is in front of a camera. But don't make such a big deal out of it, just call & ask him. If anything, since its the first meeting suggest blue jeans & a nice tshirt & hang out like at Minature Golf Course & putput or something. Don't make it bigger than what it is.

Wear jeans and a top that you feel confident & sexy in. Understated but elegant is the name of the game for the first date. Wear high heels or boots.... the most important thing is that you feel comfortable, otherwise you'll be stressing about how you look, etc, and not able to concentrate on the date.

Go cas/dressy like a nice pair of skinny jeans heels/boots and a top maybe a nice vest top and accessorise this will be suitable for either a dressy enviornment or a casual one.
Be careful though going on this date make sure you keep in touch with someone at all times and as soon as you know where you are going let them know.

Depends on where you are going to meet him. If it's a restaurant, I recommend a smart casual look. Nice blouce, trousers and jacket. Or maybe a skirt but nothing over the knee.
For a pub I would recommend the casual look. Jeans and jumper would be fine. Have a great time.

wear some nice jeans with low black heels and a sexy/cute black top, paint your nails pink, put on some instant tan (take tan with you in your bag incase you spill your drink or anything you can cover the white bits back up) wear a nice black jacket and some nice perfume. this outfit will suit any occasion. unless your going rock climbing of course. why dont you wear a nice sexy pair of jeans
heels - maybe not too high though in case you end up having to something like walking quite a bit!
for a top - Id either wear a slinky top with a glitzy cardigan or a jacket over it - or Id wear just a nice fitted kinda v neck plain top but bring a glitzy top in my bag just in case you end up clubbing!

why not wear some dressy jeans with a shirt dress over the top and some heels. then you are'nt to over dressed or underdressed.

I would suggest you wear a black top and a black skirt I have seen in Next. very smart outfit. make the person look slim and classy. wear some assorted accessories and high heels. you will look gorgeous. and wherever you are going be confident you are the most pretty.
