Animals fail the two most important aspects that create sin: the ability to determine good and evil, and sentient thought. Animals were created by God with instinctual responses to the world around them only. Some do exhibit higher brain functions (chimps and dolphins for example) but even as 'intelligent' as they are, their only determination of good and evil is that some actions are desired by humans that train them and some actions are not desired.

No! Sin is purely a human concept, some might say an erroneous one at best. Animals are just animals!

Is this a valid question?

No, animals are not cognitive, they are instinctive. I know some animal lovers would disagree but animals can be trained to react but they don't have capabilities to work out problems.
