It might be just me....but I think the girl in the other question meant something else by abundant life..not this one...the one after we die.
Just a hunch.
Edit: OH! And although I am not Atheist, I have a wonderful life now, too! I am blessed with a wonderful husband, 2 boys and a great job. My bills are paid and we are all healthy.

Another meaningless question... how droll.
From my perspective I have one life.... not an abundance... just the one life. It might not be entirely ordinary, but it is ordinary enough. It isn't a fun life, and I don't particularly like it in many respects....... but I am mostly content with it and would not change it for anything else. The downsides help me appreciate the upsides better when they come. The troubles I have had shaped who I have become... If I had lived a "happy" life, I expect I would be a far shallower and less respectable person than I am now.

Absolutely, my life if full of love and charity.
All my friends are holistic therapists or volunteers and my family is well and kind and loving.
I travel the world and treat people along the way, I do much for my community and it does much for me.
I respect my world and appreciate all the beautiful things in it.
I am an animal lover and I do work for free as well as it being my job.
I am always off trying new things and meeting new people and teaching everyone about TFT, so yes, I am very lucky and my life is abundant.

Very much so......
I have kids that I love, friends that I love. People that rely on me, People I rely on.
I give quite a bit of time to charity weekly and find that giving tangible help to people, rather than telling them I am going to pray for them is much more rewarding.
I used to be a Christian and honestly, spent allot of time going through the motions, giving money to church, spending time at church, praying. I thought I was doing good and told myself it was the right thing to do. Now that I have given all that up. I am really helping people.
I have raised well over $30,000 for Muscular Dystrophy research and Cerebral Palsy research in the past year. I have also spent countless hours an my local VA hospital spending time with Veterans and making sure they have basic needs like jeans, socks, boots and coats.
You would be amazed at how some of our veteran are treated, and live out the end of their lives in squaller.
In all honesty, if I hadn't given up on Christianity, I would still be taking my kids to church, giving my time and money to religion and not really helping anyone, but mostly wealthy Christians. Most charity and money given to Christian churches goes right back into the church. Keeps the lights on, and everyone is nice and warm on Sunday morning. Meanwhile there are veterans shivering in a house without heat because they had to choose between paying an electric bill or buying food.
I am living a much more abundant life now that I am completely honest with myself, including the falacy or religion.

Heck yeah! I have a terrific husband, two beautiful, healthy, brilliant babies, a wonderful supportive extended family, good friends. Oh yeah, I'm also financially well-off enough to save for retirement, have college funds for the kids, pay off my credit cards every month, and save up for vacations and other things. I have a decent job that is close by and flexible enough for me to take care of my family (appointments, errands, etc).
I wish I had more time to devote to hobbies, exercise and cleaning the house... right now I'm just scraping by... but my kids are still small and very physically dependent on me, so I am patient... I'll have more time to myself as they get older.
There is so much love in my life, I think I'm the wealthiest woman in the world!

Fo Sho!!! I am loved, I love I have a great job that allows me plenty of free time I have family and friends I have a great neighbor who's willing to take me to the doctor's office because I screwed up my back- she's even gonna come in and help me out of bed. I have passion and whimsy and sometimes some seriousness (but not a lot)!! I have so much more than I would ever be selfish enough to ask for!

Actually believe it or not I do.
Isn't that amazing that non Christians can have an abundant life, and we managed to do it all on our own.

It could be even more abundant if I could find a boyfriend who was sane, intelligent, and had a respectable job.
But I'm not doing bad with what I've got available.
