Can I give my Italian Greyhound a bath?

We signed up for a spa day meetup with a toy breed group. It'll be loads of fun and I know our dog will really enjoy it. We know they don't necessarily need baths due to their very fine, short coats...and our dog doesn't really enjoy being wet. But it being a spa day, what's included for $15 is Wash, condition treatment, dry, nails, ears. He could really use the nail treatment.....but for the bath? Should I pass, see if they can give me a discount or should I make him go through the torture (he doesn't smell horrible, but doesn't smell great either).

We have an Italian greyhound and he goes to the groomers occasionally......He takes baths occasionally.........one every three months or so......he doesn't love them.....but I think he realizes afterwards how handsome he looks.....even though he doesn't have very much hair......his skin sometimes gets dry and always looks great after a pamper.......

My greyhounds don't like water or baths either, so they get bathed only about twice a year because that's all they need. Over-bathing a dog, more than once a month at the very most, dries their skin and coats out terribly (and putting conditioner on doesn't help them either). If your dog needs a bath, let them give him one, but only very occasionally.

I give my IG a bath once a week because he gets muddy and that annoying dog smell. I know IG's are not supposed to have a smell but they do anyway because they are dogs. I should never have believed people when they told me IGs do not have doggie odor. Anywayz yes give him a bath. He will smell nice after.
