Probably. I was out 21, and got some credit. You need to get an official transcript from your former school and take it to the guidance counselors. They will tell you how to proceed. Good luck. Have fun, and don't give the instructors too hard a time. Don't expect too much from the transferred credits, that'll depend on the evaluation of your new school based on the calendar(quarters, semesters, mods), timeliness of content--I got nothing for knowing Fortran, it was obsolete, and how much money your new school wants to make off you. You could test out , ask counselor about that.

Hello Mildred,
It would depend on what subjects the credits were in and which college or university you went to and which college or university you were trying to enter. As a former Admissions Coordinator, I would have to look at your transcripts to determine if any of the credits you received 20 years ago would transfer in today. I would advise you to contact the college or university you are interested n attending and asking them directly. I hope that helps.

sure but if you got those credits in a technical field, you may want to refresh yourself on things that might have changed in the last 20 years.

to my knowledge, most are good for 7 years, but this does vary according to school and field. You may also be able to test out of classes with your knowledge. Best bet would be to contact someone from the school to see where you stand.
