Go download CloneDVD, http://www.clonedvd.net/

place a blank dvd in your burning drive, and place the DVD RW in your other optical drive, if you have a 2nd drive. you can copy from one disk to the other "on the fly"

if you don't have a second optical drive then you'll have to copy all of the files on the dvdrw disk over to your hard drive, this includes all the hidden files on the disk. then you'll have to use clonedvd to create an .iso image of all those files you copied over. once you have the iso image you can then burn the iso image to another dvd.

hopefully you have 2 drives as that is much easier.

good luck

If the DVD is a data disc (i.e. not a movie) you can:

1. Copy the files to your computer using Explorer, then burn them back onto a new disc using your burning software
2. Use a program like Nero (link in sources list) to make a duplicate of the DVD. Nero has a free trial and will walk you through the process of copying the dvd.

If you are talking about a Movie, you can try one of the following instead:
1. Search for DVD Shrink (free) and use that to copy the DVD movie. It is a somewhat complex program for a novice.
2. Use DVD Fab Gold (not free but has a fully functional trial period) which is an extremely simple to use application.

There are more options for copying movies, but an easy (with a cost) and a harder (but free) option should cover what you need.

Assuming that it is NOT a copy protected commercial DVD....

Create a folder on your hard drive
Drag the files from the DVD into the folder and the will be copied there
Replace with a blank DVD+RW
Start your burner software and burn the files from the directory onto the DVD
Delete the directory when done.

Or just use the "Copy Disk" option in your burner software. Saves you having to copy to the hard drive
