Time is a limitation. Something all-powerful would be able to create anything instantaneously and not be limited by time. So now what?

Could you have done it faster, or when you go shopping for something do you grab the first thing you see and be happy with that?

time is not a limitation in this case it is a choice. You have the choice every day to do lots of things but generally you turn them down. Suppose, for example, you are in complete control of what you eat every day. In fact, you have unlimited resources. You could eat ice cream all the time, the same flavor even, and the best in the world. My bet is you might do it for awhile, then tire of it and move on. That was your choice. If we assume that God is omnipotent, then he can do whatever he well pleases, and if 6 days is good, go with 6 days. Maybe he was trying to make a point?

Think about it. Could he have done it in a fraction of a millisecond? -Yes. They why did he do it over 6 -24 hour days? Who could say, -but only those who choose to speculate.

You are correct in that "time is a limitation", but not for God, just for us. The problem here is that "you" attempt to confine God to your limited understanding. You will always be in a state of frustration. The only way out for you is to succumb to the "temptation" to believe that there is no God. To do so would allow you a "free" ride until the end-then, if you are right-you just get to die. If not, it could be worse.

Why would he need rest?

I do think it is funny how since we can't do it some people take that as proof god did. Silly Fundies.

Could you create the universe faster? Sure, if i were omnipotent I sure could.

Just imagine God doing everything in one shot. He created Heavens, Earth, the animals that walk, the animals that swim, the light and night all in one shot, it would be pretty much of a slap dash work.

God is the Holy trinity Himself. If you did notice, God said, "Let us...". God has to consult every God head before coming into a conclusion. Besides, God is not a magician. He wont rush through things without seeing it come to pass through His very eyes. He is a GOD of beauty, therefore He wont let things just flash through. He need to see it come to pass slowly.

If God rush through His creations, I am sure we will not be who we are today. We could be no different from the animals that God has created with His words.

Of course God could have created everything in a heartbeat but He chose to follow a set order instead and this can be discerned all around us if we would but look closely enough.

Our life time passes by as quickly a blink of an eye to G-. So, six days is nothing.

He was setting an example, six days you work and then the day of rest.

With God one day is as a 1000 years and 1000 years as one day. How do you know how long His day was? :-)
