why would a guy read my email 11 times before responding? why not read it once, and say what you want to say? Or if he does not care for me, then don't reply to my email at all, right? what is going on with this guy?I told this old friend from high school that i would be in his area and let's meet for drinks, and he came up with so many excuses as to why he could not see me. Mind you, he has told me that i was the love of his and we should have gotten married but now he is living with this woman who he says he is not really in love with but does not want to her hurt her feelings because he has been hurt before and does not want to do the same. Then when i told him that i loved him too, he said all we can be friends. but he goes back and forth with clues as to how he screwed up as a kid with me but then says he is getting married again to this woman. I don't think he is getting married again. I think he is making this all up. But why?

Ok, he's in a relationship where they talk about marriage, you come along, asking him out saying you love him. He's torn between you two. I don't know what happened before, if you hurt him if he doesn't trust you. Maybe he says he doesn't love his current girlfriend, because he sees potential to start something with you and wants to give you hope. Anyway it's a tough situation for him. and he doesn't know what to do. That's why he makes excuses and is unsure about seeing you. He is torn between you two and doesn't know which way to go.

He doesn't know what he wants. But it does sound like he has enough respect for the girl he is living with not to cheat on her. (not sure if that's how he hurt her before) Best thing you can do is congradulate him on his upcoming marriage (whether you believe it or not) and move on. If things don't work out, who knows, he may give you a call in the future. If you aren't with anyone by then and still have interest, maybe you can give it a try. For now, the best thing is to let him go. He's with someone and it doesn't sound like he plans on changing it in the near future. It would only hurt you in the long run if you got together at this point in his life.

Jokerman by using your call i'll ask if that's authentic or no longer. Your in a complicated place brother. the guy won't substitute ever. ask her if that's the form of relationship she thought she wold have as a infant. clarify she would not could take this abuse its so common as no longer speaking to him anymore. i'm beneficial there are a number of place that would help her out. you could make her sense she is properly worth better than what she gets from this guy. She could be dealt with like a women human beings no longer a toy which would be thrown out and performed with while he needs. You sound like a good buddy help her see reason.
