To buy a basic meal in Turkey can cost as little as 5ytl (about £2). If you want something fancy, particularly if it's foreign fare, you can pay anything from 30ytl-100ytl or more per head (£11-£40+). More expensive doesn't always mean better quality food.

To buy a "diner" would cost from £10,000 up, depending on location, number of tables etc!

Ok. You know we have newly changed our currency. You have both new liras and old liras together in the market.
So for a nice dinner in Turkey if you choose to have a traditional meal (like that of Turkish Kebab together with a drink), it will cost you 10-15 new liras. / 10-15 million old liras.

If you choose to get a more formal dinner, it will be more expensive in a stylish restaurant and cost you like 20-30 new liras.

in marmaris last summer most restaurants seemed to offer a 5 course meal (garlic pita bread, soup, main course choice off menu, fruit salad and coffee oh and a glass of wine) for about 15ytl per person-approx a tenner. or main courses on the menu were usually about 8-15ytl say pizza to steak. hope this helps!

Nice dinner at a nice restaurant will cost around between 50 to 80 USD per person including beverage. If we are talking about touristic spots I agree with my friends' answers.

it only depends on where you are...For example in Kanyon Shopping Center you can eat a plate of spaghetti for 20 liras and with the same money, you can have a great dinner with its soup, salad, dessert and adana kebab (etc..) in a restaurant in Taksim even you can find turkish doner served in a full sized bread for only 1 lira in Aksaray :p

if you like to sample the local grub then i would find a back street turkish restnt where you can get a great variety of dishes and feel full when you have finished, the price will be nothing compared to the tourist restnts.ENJOY

First of all you mean lira, and second it wouldn't cost you that much...maybe around 20 to 30 liras.
