When I was growing up my Mom and I did the whole greyhound rescuse thing. They are some of the most loving dogs ever. Even though they have been trained all thier lives to run, they are great. When ours whined it was (most of the time), because they weren't getting enough attention. If you are giving her enough attention then see if she whines at the same times or at the same things. She could have something wrong.

I have 3, as well as lots of fosters who come and go. The only time one of my dogs whines is if I leave (she has a bit of separation anxiety!).
How long have you had her? Is she a rescue? If so, and you haven't had her long, she's just feeling insecure and needs time to adjust to both you and her new home. Can't really give you much advice without knowing any details.

Maybe your greyhound is feeling lonely and would like a companion, especially if you are away from home for any length of time. Make sure she has enough stimulation in play with her toys, and that you give her some of your time.

i havnt had a grey hound but lots of other dogs and usually they whine because their bored maybe your not taking your dog out enough or if you are taking it out enough try getting some toys for the dog to keep it occupied when it is in the house. my dog also sits at the door whining when she needs a wee so i just let her in the garden

i have a saluki x that does that, he whines to go out whines to be fussed, whines to come sit on me hes at it all the time. hes just after affection. if your dog whines or yelps when you touch her take it to the vet for a checkup. if not try not to respond when your dog whines, definately dont get angry and give it more fuss and attention when shes quiet

She want's something. Any particular time when she does it.
Give her plenty of exercise. We used to take ours with us when we went on cycle rides. The faster the better as far as he was concerned.
