We do this to try and turn you towards the Savior. If it were not true.....do you think we (Christians) would be making the effort to begin with?
There is a sense of urgency here.....like a child who has walked out into the path of an oncoming train.
We don't aim to antagonize....we aim to get you saved.....and make you realize that no matter what you think....you do need saving.
We are all sinners in need of a Savior......and the truth is still the truth whether anyone believes it or not.

That's just it people.....It's my duty to tell people. And I know for a fact that I am in no way holier than thou......
I am a sinner too....who has accepted that fact and turned to Jesus in repentance.

I don't know who you are directing this towards, but I think some people have a problem with 'being saved' because it seems like the person telling us we need 'saved' is preaching that their better than thou and know all the answers. Life wouldn't be a test if you could go out and convince everyone what is right. God puts us on this earth to make our own decisions and some people need to take a different route. Preach the good word all you want, and if help people that's great, but you have no right telling people what their relationship with the lord should be. It's not anyones job to call someone a sinner except for God.

I appreciate and understand -- I used to believe and evangelize myself (they called me the Converter at my High School 'cause I kept converting all the gifted & talented students to Catholicism... *chuckle).
However, the odds of you converting someone in this forum are approximately zilch. In fact, many people would like this to be a place for sincere and open question and debate, not evangelization. Evangelization itself in this forum could be interpreted as a violation of the user agreement and community guidelines, unless worded fairly intentionally. Many evangelists here do so diligently, and I've no complaints against them since they maintain format.
However, the Bible is very specific that you are not to keep attempting to shove the Word down people's throats. You are to present the Word, and if it is rejected, you are to shake the dust from your feet and leave in good faith that God knows what he's doing. Reread your Great Commissioning.
I acknowledge, at least for myself, that you have brought the Word. It has returned to you void, because I do not accept it. Please kindly shake the dust from your feet and cease the evangelism. This is a Q&A forum, not an evangelism forum. If I ever have a change of heart, this forum will know. There will be no such change of heart, but there you go.
-------------
primoa: You'll notice I didn't call you to task for this particular question. In fact, I did not call anyone to task for any specific posting, just a tendancy that some have, a mistake others make from time to time. You asked a question, I answered. That is the Q&A format, and it is good.

You're a hypocrite and a liar. Your answer (which when I write this was: "Yes... You have no hope.....we do.") is not one of evangelism or of love. It is of judgement and condemnation -- both of which your Bible make absolutely clear are not yours but God's. You have literally taken it upon yourself to judge not just one person's heart but the heart of all people everywhere.
You should count yourself lucky that the atheists are right -- with an attitude like this, you'd be packing for hot weather right next to them, according to the Bible.

I don't think that's the goal. Evangelizers have good intent. I guess people just get irritated if you force your belief on them. Admit it, if someone force you to believe their belief that is in opposition of what you believe in or has several different conceptions, you would be upset too. Especially if it's being forced on you with threats of eternal damnation. LOL ;-)
Don't get me wrong. I am a catholic Christian, so i believe everyone is saved by the Grace of Jesus' Death. That's undeniable. Everyone is equal in the eyes of God. No favorites. It's just that one should acknowledge that grace and accept it.
I believe that there is one God. It doesn't matter how different religions call Him. God is God. It is simple, really. Don't try to complicate it.

One can recognize that any sort of evangelism is done out of good will, to attempt to spread good news for the benefit of all. That also applies to anyone professing atheism, and the atheists have a better case because they can prove it. But attempts at such can properly be regarded as a nuisance by people who have things that they would prefer to do rather than to listen.

I do not just "think" it. I know that many Christians try to annoy people. Several of my relatives certainly do. I do not want to hear constant drivel about I should attend church. I mention numerous contradictions in the Bible and its ignorance of xscience. Even Billy7 Graham admits that. I correponded with him. he listed contradictions I had not found yet. He tried to explain them, but he was not convicing. he made up his mind before looking at the evifdand then tried to manipulate things to support his premature beliefs.

That might be a pretty nice speech. But some of us have read your answers and questions and know differently...especially the part about not aiming to antagonize.

I think you evangelize because you are self-righteous and have absolutely no concern for its effect on others.
It's selfish and self-serving. A religious pyramid scheme. It's what makes you a cult member.

We can only keep trying.
But we must understand that it is not in our power to save anyone.
All we can do is to tell our own experience.
It is the Holy Spirit that will draw people to Christ, not any of us.
Trust Him and pray.
