Tips are not included in the fare. Give around 10 - 15%. In restaurants, the norm to tip is 18-20% and same in pubs. Never tip less than $1 for anything.

Most people give tips based on the gross which is the bill plus the sales tax.

No restaurant has tipping included except for parties of 6 people or more. Then 20% is automatically added by mgmt.

Well, I have not used a cab in my entire life. The one time that I was in DC, I used a tour-bus. I would assume that you would tip cab drivers about the same that you tip limousine drivers, 20-30%.

For restaurants, it depends upon your server. If they were horrible, 10%, if they were good, 25-30%.

Most of the time you tip all that you mentioned anywhere and not just DC. They say if the service is not good....10%. If it is good 15-20%
