I actually normally write comptemporary fiction; but I wrote like 5 poems in the last month and people seem to like them, but I can't help but look down at my pants once in a while to see if I am still all there, cause I've been instilled at a young age that men don't write poems. Unless he's done something really wrong.
If I get more positives than negatives, I'll write and post a poem up within a half hour, lol.

writing poems is a great thing.i personally love poems.could u send me one of ur poems.i lov them really.truly.i too sometimes write poems(short).iam a girl.i don't think writing poems is a feminine thing.those who feel jealous of u say like that.writing poems is not an easy thing.it needs great imagination & a cute ,lovable heart.its god who makes people do things.no one can oppose anyone.i hope u understood.don't feel or hesitate to write poems.continue to write.as far as i know most of the famous poets r men.u can become a great poet in future.please don't stop writing poems.................

Where have you been all your life? Locked away in a cave don't you know some of the best poets of our time have been men. If you are deep enough to write poetry why are you so shallow to worry about your manhood. Come on if you write well stand up and own it you should never change who you are because you are afraid others will judge you.

Jim Morrison was a great poets and song writer. He got laid more than anyone before him. So no Poems are not feminine. Some of the greatest poets in history were men.

Guys who write poetry are absolutely amazing. I met a guy once who wrote poems to me and it was absolutely wonderful. I'll never forget him. If a girl doesn't appreciate when a guy writes her a poem, she's not for that guy then. I assure you, you'll find a girl who appreciates it.

omg...closet poet? your amazing in a special way and dont let anyone ever tell you other wise. personally, those are the only type of guys i fall for. The whole football thing disgustest me because thats all they will ever be. Ive been hurt by them before and landed on the deep side. Where i found people like you who really do care. dont take it out on yourself too much because your speical...REAL special. I write poems of my fiancee` all the time and she loves them. You really need to stop listening to stupid people there isn't anything wrong with writing poems. Some guys are just to stupid to write them.

I used to write poems, only cause i thought it would make me look like the sweet romantic type, but all i was really thinking was "i gotta do whatever i can , to get into her panties", now i think it is totally gay, and i would never do it.

I like reading poetry and it does not matter whether you are male / female as long as what you are trying to convey comes from the heart, makes sense and is enjoyable to the reader .
