When I am UP, I am fine. But that can take a while. I almost feel like giving up when I wake. It is an incredibly powerful sensation. I have lost 2 jobs because of it. I hate night-work so that is not an option, and I sleep ok.
P.S. I am not a lazy f*****. Honest! This is getting desperate.
P.P.S. Doctor was useless: exercise, diet, earplugs, etc. All have been done.

When you are warm and comfortable in bed ,it is not unusual not to want the sensation to stop by getting up! You only have to get up once and you're going to have to do it sooner or later so you might as well get up immediately and not prolong the agony.Promise yourself a nice cup of tea or a good breakfast or something else as an incentive. Once you have conquered this state of mind you have you will feel a great sense of achievement. I was like you once but now I'm always first up in the morning and if anyone else wants an alarm call they count on me to rouse them.YOU CAN DO IT !!!! Good luck and don't give in !

Because you haven't grown up yet? That could be the reason you don't get up.
You, like a toddler or small child, find EVERY excuse in the book as to why you cannot get up and go to (school) work.
I suggest an alarm clock with a horribly annoying buzzard or one of those that you can record stuff and find something horribly annoying and put it on there. Then put the clock on the OTHER side of the room. That way, to turn off the annoying sound you have to get up and go to the other side of the room. That will be one way to help you get up.
However, if you're still in toddler/child mode, then you'll find some weird excuse as to why you need to go back to bed after you've turned off the clock. That's a whole different issue.
Honestly, being a grown up is a pain in the ****, so I can see why you don't want to do it. BUT we all have to do it sometime... Sorry! :(
See you when you get to this side!

you must sleep sooner!8 hours of sleep are minimum for an adult for a full rest.
as for the sensation.your body has some-kind of fluid that works like an anesthetic to "put you in bed".this normally takes about 15 minutes-20 tops to stop "working" since you get up.so you put your alarm half an hour earlier that usual.
there is also the matter if room.your bed must be a clean and comfortable for a good sleep and oxygen must get in plentifully.loose plants and flower if any in your bedroom!A shower before and one after will make feel nice.......

How early is early? Can you go to bed at, say 9 pm or do you lie there, stewing in your juices for three hours before you nod off?
What about a warm glass of milk? Works for me

am in exactly the same position as you! and i am perfectly happy, my problem can stop me going in to school. & yes it is a very powerful feeling, best thing is to have a glass of water beside you to chuck on you, uncomfortable but works without fail

Have you been checked for ME or Fibromyalgia. Both can leave you feeling lethargic and in the case of fibro you don't sleep well, which means you feel tired most of the time.

What you should do to encourage yourself, is to hope forlornly - that is to hope that tomorrow you will wake up faster. Hope is powerful but uncertainty is even more. If you accept to think in uncertainty and uncompleteness, you can solve these kind of problems.

my daughter is exactly the same, she has to put her alarm on an hour before she gets up and it goes off every 10mins before she actually gets out of bed 10 mins before she has to leave for work, so i do sympathise with you, you could also put an alarm clock at the other side of your room so you have to get up to turn it off

You need time to adjust to your work schedule as what time you will need to wake up and go to bed. You need to learn better time management.
