I have boiled two or three cinnamon sticks to make tea. Are they a one time use item or could I continue to use them to make more tea or is there something else I could use them for?

As expensive as they are, I would use those suckers up until you don't notice the flavor in your tea. They still have essential oils locked up in them, so maybe breaking them apart and putting them into a tea diffuser would extend their use. They can also be grated and used on whipped cream, or put into potpourri.

No, after you boil them, all the good stuff has been extracted out. How much tea are you making? You should only need a stick to make it. Take Care!

If you just used it to make tea, I would try reusing it. I've never reused them, but if they still have a good smell you might have some flavor left in there. I get mine from a lebanese store and they're much less expensive than anywhere else.

I use them to flavor some stews and soups. I don't know if you mixed them with the tea leaves, if so I wouldn't put them in any other recipes.

I consider cinnamon sticks to be a one-time pony.
