I know exactly what this chick is getting at. Duh, the fish swam. But the point is that all creatures were supposed to be wiped out by flood. That is why Noah took enough to start a new population with him on the ark. But no one ever talks about the fish. It's just an interesting thing to think about. God chose a form of punishment that favored the fish. Why?

First you need to see the flood is the 1st time that it rain on the earth, everything before the flood was water by a midst at night. So Before the flood, we did not have big Oceans, yes we did have sea's & lakes. Now people try to think that God destroy all living things, He only destroyed mankind/woman kind, & all land animals,Anything that creepeth upon the earth. Not sea manmals, Remember when noah sent out the raven, That bird did not return, why, because a raven eats dead flesh, Then Noah sent out a dove & finally that dove brought back a olive branch. So the sea creatures was never killed nor the plant life.

The fish were cool with it because they are usually good swimmers.
But I think Noah had an aquarium just in case, two or three perhaps for different fish species.
The thing that I cant quite understand and dont recall seeing in the good book, was any mention of species diversity and genetic diversity within species. Mind you, I didnt find that story that interesting really and so never finished the whole book.

he flooded the salt water and fresh water fish with the opposite type of water of their living habitat. this essentially completed the noah's ark folk tale by taking out the fish along with every other animal except for 2.

or else this was still during the time that water frequenting creatures still walked on land and had not evolved or adapted to the water yet, thus effectively killing them in that manner.

otherwise, you can go with the logic of the geniuses above that answered 75 times... fish live in water!!

I think the fish survived. I don't remember in Genesis God telling Noah to have a giant fish tank in the ark for all the fish, sharks, and whales.

Well, all fish joined together on a very large group, and then organized the largest RAVE party ever known in the history of the Universe as a way for celabrating the water Extasis.

There is no mention of fish dying, they were happy, because they finally got what they have always wanted, more territory to swim about in.
Happy, happy fish.

God used special water with no oxygen in it so all of the fish drown except the ones in the fish tanks in Noah's ark.

Love and blessings Don
