You can certainly do it in Santa Margarita, north of Spain. There are many hotels with full pension ( all meals) for incredible low prices. But if you don't like the idea of all meals in the hotel, even though the prices are slight lower, what you save would hardly be enough to buy you lunch alone out, let alone breakfast & dinner. The way to do it is take the full pension, but occasionally eat elsewhere to try out local restaurants. Lots of beaches & everyday sunshine during August. Check out on your local papers & travel agencies re. coach & inclusive deals.

I WOULD go on holiday during August for a budget priced, or reasonably priced holiday WITH continuous sunshine, plus AMAZING beaches for two weeks in Greece (perhaps Rhodes), the islands of Croatia, or Turkey.

happy to help

Mexico is very cheap and beautiful. I recommend Cancun as you can take tours from there to many historical sites like Chichen Itza. http://www.mysteriousplaces.com/mayan/TourEntrance.html
