Ostara Ideas?

Question

I'm having an Ostara gathering at my house for 6 adults, and 3 or 4 kids.
I need ideas for some really good Ostara type foods. I was going to make a roast with lots of veggies, becuase it's all I can think of. Any other ideas? Also maybe some good Ostara based activities for the little ones.

Foods in tune with this day (linking your meals with the seasons is a fine way of attuning with Nature) include eggs, egg salad, hard-boiled eggs, honey cakes, first fruits of the season, fish, cakes, biscuits, cheeses, honey and ham. You may also include foods made of seeds, such as sunflower, pumpkin and sesame seeds, as well as pine nuts. Sprouts are equally appropriate, as are leafy, green vegetables.

Remember that the Vernal Equinox is also close to the breaking of the floes- the time when the trade ports historically got their spices and far-flung goods for the first time since the Winter Solstice.

So it's a good time to celebrate with imported foods.

Well of course for the kids the Easter egg hunt is a classic.

and for the food, i would suggest deviled eggs :)

Actually anything to do with fruit is always a good idea.
