After 10-11pm have designated lanes/roads for drunk people to drive on??!

That way the poor old drunkards can get home without getting cold and they're only risking your own life by driving on these crazy roads...! If you dont want to risk it then stay sober and drive on the sober section

You could put special barriers up on the side of the roads, like on bowling alleys for people that can't throw straight! So they just bounce all the way home from side to side

When I'm drunk I see 4 or 5 lanes so I just pick the middle one.
Anyway, I have to drive when I'm drunk as I can usually barely walk.

Weaklings drive drunk, nothing more. These people shouldn't have a license to begin with, let alone get behind the wheel if they cannot help but let a chemical rule their lives.

They're just a bunch of worthless addicts and should be shot so they don't burden society anymore, not given special lanes.

Drinking and driving is just plain wrong and very dangerous for the driver's life. Get alot of drunk drivers in a "designated" lane and you'll still have crashes and deaths.

I disagree, a minimum of mildly. dropping her license did not stop Paris Hilton, Dem. Prosecutor Delgadillo's spouse, Ted Kennedy, or any of the Kennedy drunks for that rely. a great number of human beings might in simple terms purchase yet another vehicle and proceed topersistent impaired. i comprehend a fellow that have been given his third DUI in GA. The choose sent him to reformatory for 2 years, as I remember. His new spouse substitute into pregnant with their first toddler on the time. he's out of reformatory now, have been given his license returned, and is a sort citizen. i think of the 1st DUI could get 30 days in reformatory. the 2nd could get 6 months in reformatory, and the 0.33 could be 2-3 years. i think of very few human beings might get the 2nd DUI.

Sounds good in theory, but some are so drunk, they can't even stay in the drunk lanes and still end up wrapped round trees and peoples gardens etc.

I sure hope you are kidding. But....just in case you're not.....have you ever heard of "taxi" ....have you ever heard of "designated driver".....have you ever in your life heard of "kill people when drunk and driving"?????????

Or, better yet, have you ever heard of: "dont drink if you are going to drive????"

Ok, you know, now that I have thought about this, you might be onto something... I think if they do this, some GOOD can result: If they did this for a couple of nights, soon, all the drunk drivers will kill themselves off. Then.... no more drunk drivers!!!

It will never work in a million years. Who is going to spend money on a scheme like that . Utterly ridiculous. I have seen two people killed in two seperate accidents by drunken drivers. One was a 12 year old girl, and the other was a father of 3 children. If I was making the law, I would give these drivers life in prison because they have really committed murder.

How would you ensure they stayed on their section of the road though. They'd be so drunk they'd be weaving over to the sober side

thats not a bad idea, provided it is a concept not just in one area....for instance if i live in New York and they dont have that there, and am driving to Maryland and they DO have it there, If its late at night, wont see any sign markings, and will be unaware of the lane thing, so I could be risking my life unknowingly...its not a bad idea though

This happens in Ireland on some country roads. Slightly worse for wear friend of mine was worried about a queue of cars behind them whilst doing 20mph until they were told "It's ok they're following you".
